The students would be working with clay as the
primary medium and then incorporating wood, string, metal, and other sculpture
media into their projects to create 3D pieces. This course enables the students
to develop mastery in concept, composition, and execution of 3D sculpture
mainly focusing on clay built forms. Students are exposed to a variety of
concepts and approaches to 3D design so that they are able to demonstrate a
range of abilities and techniques, problem solving, and ideas. The course
emphasizes making art as an ongoing process that involves the student in
informed and critical decision making
